Edward Charles Wallman's Obituary
Edmore-Edward Charles Wallman, age 74, of Riverdale passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Born on December 18, 1950, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to his parents August and Helen (Agge) Wallman. Edward was raised in Belleville, and attended Lincoln Consolidated Schools where he graduated from in 1969. He went on to work for Ford Motors as an auto production worker, where he remained for 34 years before he retired in 2004. On December 24, 1971, Edward received the best Christmas present in the form of his wife, Doreen Swansey. The two were married for 53 years, raised four children, and made many memories together. Aside from spending time with his family, Edward enjoyed hunting, and baling hay. He was also an active member of the First Baptist Church of Vestaburg. Edward will be missed by his wife, Doreen; children James (Christina) Wallman of Ypsilanti, Chad (Nacomie) Wallman of Branch, Julia Wallman of Belleville, Stephanie (Paul) Wanty of Chelsea; grandchildren Annabelle, Jacob, Hunter, Fisher, Blade, Phelix, Bryce, Geoffrey; and siblings August (Nancy) Wallman of Belleville, Rose Atkinson of Brighton, Helen Karns of Dexter, Jean Smith of Belleville, Diane Rabaa of Ypsilanti. Preceding in death are his parents, brother Richard, and sister Betty Emberton. A funeral for Edward will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Vestaburg with Pastor Dan Palmer officiating. Family will greet friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Friday.
