Elaine Marie Abbott's Obituary
Elaine Marie Abbott, age 69, of Edmore, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids. Elaine was born February 23, 1952, to Wayne and Helen (Madar) Moore.
Elaine was the youngest of five children. She was born and raised in Alma, MI until she moved to Edmore with her family her senior year of high school. Shortly after graduation she married her high school sweetheart on January 23, 1971, and were married 50 years. Dan and Elaine managed a successful irrigation business and had a family of three girls that kept her on her toes. Elaine was independent, creative, and enjoyed crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, and being a grandmother. She learned technology to facetime with her family and her laugh was infectious with a great sense of humor.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Abbott; 2 daughters, Renee Killian and Lori Sadler; 10 grandchildren, Abigail, Ashley, Brittney, Nathan, Megan, Thomas, Jacob, Kennedy, Kalli, and Nikki; and her siblings, JoAnna Smolka, Jim Moore and John Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Cheryl Gardner in 2020, and brother Frederick Moore in 2021.
A funeral service will be scheduled at a later date.
