Elaine Marie Landgraf's Obituary
Chippewa Lake - Elaine Marie Landgraf, 58, passed away at her home in Chippewa Lake on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, surrounded by her children and husband.
She was born August 15, 1962, in Reed City, the daughter of Merle and Marie (McDonald) Purchase. Elaine graduated from Reed City High School in 1980, and went on to study Social Work at Ferris State University.
On August 21, 1993 Elaine married Keith Landgraf and they enjoyed 28 years together. Together they raised a blended family of 5 children. She was a wonderful wife and mother who always put her family first.
For several years, Elaine worked at Hope Network in Paris. Her love for educating children led her to work for the M.O.I.S.D. Early Success Program for many years. She loved camping, fishing, cooking, the Detroit Lions, hosting parties, and spending time with her friends and family. Elaine also served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, Little League Coach, and 4-H Leader. She loved all types of music and attended and volunteered at the Wheatland Music Festival for 20 years.
Elaine is survived by her husband Keith; her children, Jason (Emily) Kadwell of Rosebush, Sheri (Chad) Wilkinson of Big Rapids, Megan (Rashad Nichols) Beaumont of Flint, and Tyler and Donovan Landgraf, both of Chippewa Lake; her 2 granddaughters, Hayden and Faith; her mother Marie Eastman of Traverse City; her brothers, Ken (Lisa) Purchase of Honor, Shannon (Julie) Purchase of Honor, David (Rhonda) Purchase of Traverse City, and Brenda (Mark Scott) Purchase of Howard City; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, brothers Paul and Jerry Purchase, and niece Kelsey Purchase.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with her family greeting friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Elaine's cremains will be laid to rest in the Chippewa Lake Cemetery.
