Eleanor P. Young's Obituary
Eleanor P. Young, 90, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in Geneva, Illinois. Eleanor was born in Hatton Township, Clare County, on November 24, 1920, the daughter of George and Gertrude (Koppin) Pfetsch. Eleanor is survived by her son, Jim and his wife, Mary Jean, of Saint Charles, Illinois, three grandsons, and four great grandchildren.Eleanor graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1938 and from Moody Bible Institute in 1941. At Moody, Eleanor majored in music and sang with a number of musical groups touring extensively in the Midwest. A long time resident of Big Rapids, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, a former administrator at Ferris State University. Along with her husband, Eleanor was a founding member of Trinity Fellowship Evangelical Free Church in Big Rapids. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 21, 2011 at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Rev. Enoch Olson officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Ott Cemetery in Hatton Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Fellowship Evangelical Free Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
