Elizabeth Franks' Obituary
Edmore- Elizabeth "Liz" Franks, age 97, of McBride passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023, at Brigham Facilities in Vestaburg. Liz was born in Alicia, Arkansas on May 9, 1926, to Ed and Belle (Riley) Lumley. She was raised in Swifton, Arkansas and attended Swifton Public Schools. Liz worked for St. Joseph Heath Company on the assembly line manufacturing electronic boards for 9 years. She attended Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Edmore. Liz enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, and crocheting.Liz will be greatly missed by her children, Robert E Smith III (Chansouck "Sue") of Indiana, Bonnie Mae (Haskell "Steve") Hale of McBride, Vicky Lynn (Rick) Border of Vestaburg; 7 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.Liz was preceded in death by her daughter Judith Dobbins; siblings, Ethel Paphin, Ernest Whittaker, Troy Whittaker, Wanda Lumley, Sybil Whittaker, Bob Fowler; and husband, Robert Smith, Jr.A funeral service for Liz will take place on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Day Township Cemetery in McBride. Contributions to Elizabeth's memory can be made to the American Heart Association.
