Elnora Rose Miller's Obituary
Elnora Rose (Kantner) Miller, age 96, of Mecosta, formerly of Lakeview, passed away August 17, 2018. Elnora was born on June 25, 1922, in Woodland, Michigan, the daughter of Willis and Neva (Guy) Kantner. She was raised in the Hastings area and graduated from Hastings High School. In 1949 she married Everett Miller. They settled in Sylvester and owned and operated the Imperial gas station in Lakeview for 14 years. They then owned and operated a marina at Lake Miramichi in Evart for 13 more years. Elnora enjoyed being a homemaker and sewing. She was a long time member of the Free Methodist Church of Lakeview.
She will be missed and is survived by her daughter, Connie (John) May; grandchildren Jennie Lyon (Jeff Mackenzie), John A. (Mary) May, Wesley May, David (Kendra) May; 7 great-grandchildren, John J. Lyon, Caitlin Brown, Zachary and Emily Cason, John C., Amy and Summer May.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Neva Kantner; husband Everett Miller; sons, Wendell and Gordon; and granddaughter, April May.
A Memorial Service celebrating Elnora's life will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the Sylvester Community Church.
