? ? ? ? ? ? ? Big Rapids Esther May Earnest, 95, of Big Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. She was born February 18, 1915 in Rosebush, Michigan, the daughter of John and Olive (Neelands) Love. In 1937 Esther married Samuel "Dewey" Earnest They lived in the Mt. Pleasant are until moving to Big Rapids in 1945. Dewey preceded Esther in death in 1959. She worked at Bowers Restaurant in Big Rapids for over 10 years. She was a member of Rogers Heights Evangelical Wesleyan Church. Esther is survived by one sister, Mildred Durfee, a niece Marlene Hellmann and one nephew Arlan Durfee all from Mt. Pleasant. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Dewey", an infant daughter Ruby, a brother Norm Love, and a sister Margaret. Funeral services for Esther will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Gerald Kelly officiating. Her family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3-6 p.m.
