Esthera Charlotte Klope's Obituary
Big Rapids - Esthera Charlotte (Sparling) Klope, 97, of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully on June 4th, 2022.
She was born on August 29, 1924, in Detroit, Michigan. She was the oldest of five children and had the opportunity to attended Wayne State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science.
She married Allen Klope on August 29, 1947, and they built a home in Troy, Michigan where they lived for 40 years. Upon retirement they moved to live on the river in Big Rapids for their remaining years. Esthera was a mother to four children. Worked as a chemist, substitute teacher, in the emerging plastics industry and commercial sewer. Remaining creative most of her life, she loved geometric challenges, puzzles and crafting.
Esthera is survived by her children, Larry (Linda) Klope, Warren (Linda) Klope, and Diane; grandchildren, Dana Klope, Erica (Reed) Wuttke, and Joshua; brother Gerald (Joan) Sparling; sister-in-law Ellie Williams; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen, sisters, Loraine Good, Ida Edge and Lillian Kennerley, daughter Hazel and grandson Cameron.
Esthera will be laid to rest next to her husband Allen at Christian Memorial Gardens, Rochester Hills, MI. Care and arrangements are entrusted to the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids
