Eugene William Wright's Obituary
Edmore- Eugene William Wright, age 66, of Riverdale passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw. He was born on April 2, 1954 to Samuel and Lillian (McCracken) Wright in Carson City, Michigan. He grew up in the Crystal area, attending Carson-City Crystal Schools. Eugene married Flora Martin on June 22, 1974 in Blanchard, Michigan. He was employed by the MidMichigan Medical Center in Alma as an environmental service provider for 16 years. He was known as "Papa Cookie" by his grandchildren as he enjoyed baking cookies. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, mowing the lawn, and watching wrestling.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Flora; children, Sherry (Mike) Irwin of Vestaburg, Pamela (Jason) Near of Alma, Samuel Wright of Riverdale; grandchildren, Micheal, Natasha, Krista, Jordan, Jerycho, Takyla, Tyler, Hunter, Kyle, Lily; great-grandchildren Aurora, Scarlett, Arcas, Max, Violet, Johnathan, Benny, Waylon, Sophia; sister, Mary; brothers, Allen, Tim and Buck; nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Lillian; 1 great- grandchild, Maddox; siblings, Alice, Francis, Robert, and Clifford.
A visitation for Eugene will take place from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Wednesday December 9, 2020 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore.
