Eugenia M (Dashner) Harmeier, age 86, of Lakeview, passed away on July 21, 2017 at her home surrounded by family.
Eugenia was born on October 1, 1930 in Midland, the daughter of Elmer and Bessie (Letts) Dashner. She was raised in Midland and attended Midland Public Schools. Eugenia married August George Harmeier on April 14, 1951 and together they shared 58 wonderful years before he passed. Together they had seven children.
Eugenia was employed as an Apartment Manager for many years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and canning. Her main love, however, was her family.
Eugenia will be missed by her children Mildred "Mitsy" Evans of Lakeview (who cared for and devoted her time to her mother), Cheryl (Mike) Cogswell of Six Lakes, and Faye Harmeier of Saginaw; 23 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-greatgrandchildren; one very special granddaughter Betty Jo "BJ" (Frank) Cogswell of Six Lakes; nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to Denise Kenneth.
Eugenia was preceded in death by her husband August Harmeier; her parents Elmer and Bessie Dashner; four children Lee Carman, Mike Carman, Debbie Harmeier, and Barb Badgero; and two brothers George and Eugene Dashner.
A memorial celebrating her life will be held on August 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the chapel at Hillcrest Cemetery in Six Lakes, MI. Upon her wishes cremation has taken place. Those wishing to contribute in Eugenia's memory are asked to consider the family.
