Eva Dalziel's Obituary
Eva J. Dalziel, age 90, of Big Rapids passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012. She was born April 27, 1922 in Reed City, the daughter of Leo and Esther (Stoll) Wekenman. Eva graduated from Reed City High School in 1940. She married Ervin "Flash" Dalziel in 1941. Eva worked as a cook at Ferris early in her married life. Later she worked at Wolverine. Eva was a life member of the Eagles, where she tended bar for about 20 years prior to retiring. Eva is survived by three children; Kay (Larry) Peterson of Kentwood, Ken (Suzi) Daziel of Mt. Juliet, TN and Delores (Steven) Hall of Stanwood, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one brother; Gene (Jane) Wekenman, two sisters; Leona Wirth and Marvel (Eugene) Mund, all of Reed City, plus many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons; Donald and Lloyd, two brothers; Doug and Leon Wekenman and two sisters; Marion Cassidy and Lois Rolston. Funeral services for Eva will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Bill Routley officiating. Visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be left at the funeral home for the family.
