Evelyn Gonser's Obituary
Morley - Evelyn Gonser, 88, of Morley, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born August 29, 1926, in Sandoval, IL, the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Williams) Parker. In 1944, she married Roy Gonser, and they lived in Benton Harbor for most of their lives until moving to Morley in 1995. Evelyn attended church at Christian Life Ministries in Big Rapids. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Sandra (Tom) Linn of Morley; 2 sons, Frank Gonser of Rogers Heights, and David (Barbara) Gonser of Texas; 18 grandchildren; 1 brother Donnie Parker; 2 sisters, Lois Closson and Ruth Cravens; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy in 1995, a son Larry Gonser, and 2 daughters, Gloria Markham and Patricia Okay. Private family services will be held, with interment to be at the Higbee Cemetery near Morley. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Christian Life Ministries Church, 428 West Ave., Big Rapids, MI 49307. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
