Evelyn Marie Schader's Obituary
Morley - Evelyn Marie Schader, 88, of Morley, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Zeeland.
She was born September 16, 1932, in Morley, the daughter of Harry and Ruth (Stafford) Weber, and graduated from Morley High School in 1951 . For many years, Evelyn worked at Haskelite Manufacturing in Grand Rapids where she met her husband of 40 years, Cleo J. Schader, who preceded her in death in 1995. After raising her family, she then worked in the Business Office at Ferris State University until retiring.
Evelyn enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader in her younger years. She also volunteered at the Morley Elementary helping children read and write. Some of her favorite activities included reading, cross-stitching, and camping with her family. Evelyn will be remembered for her loving and caring personality, and helping anyone who needed it.
Evelyn is survived by her two children, Janet (Robert) Thumser of Morley, and John (Cindy) Schader of Zeeland; four grandchildren, Kyle and Mikayla Thumser, and Brandon and Cameron Schader. She was also preceded in death by a grandson Cody Thumser and beloved dog Harley.
Evelyn's family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 22 at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Private family graveside services will be held, and Evelyn will be laid to rest next to Cleo in Aetna Cemetery in Morley.
