Evelyn Louise Snyder's Obituary
Edmore-Evelyn Louise Snyder, age 91, of Vestaburg passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Masonic Pathways in Alma. She was born on November 27, 1929 in Vestaburg to Benjamin F. and Thelma M. (Barber) Corder. On August 7, 1947 Evelyn married Richard D. Snyder at Vestaburg. They were happily married for 61 years and together raised 6 children. Evelyn's family was always first in her life. Besides being a homemaker, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, working in the yard, vacationing with the family, and especially traveling to California to see her only daughter, Kathy. Evelyn attended the Pine River Church of God. She treasured her church and considered the members as a second family.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Richard B. (Carol) Snyder of Edmore, Donald D. (Sharon) Snyder of Vestaburg, Kathy (Kenneth) Loughmiller of Gridley, CA, Kim E. (Cathy) Snyder of Edmore, Mark A. (Lorriane) Snyder of Vestaburg, Eric W. (Joyce) Snyder of Mt. Pleasant; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents, Benjamin and Thelma; brother, James Corder; sisters, Sharon Corder, Mary Guild, Coral Chase; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services for Evelyn will be at 11:00am on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, with Roger Day officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday, January 17, from 4-7pm at the funeral chapel.
