Faith A. May's Obituary
Faith A. May, age 79, of Six Lakes passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. She was on September 14, 1945, to Donald and Juanita (Manns) Fouse, in Fayetteville, Indiana where she was also raised. Faith graduated from Bethel Lutheran Academy before moving to Michigan with her family. She continued her education at Great Lakes Bible College where she majored in English Education. Faith married Richard May on November 6, 1965, at the Rock Lake Chapel in Vestaburg. She was employed by Kelsey Memorial Hospital in Lakeview, in several different departments, 25 years before her retirement in 2008. She loved her job and retained many friendships from Kelsey over the years. Faith was an active member of the Rock Lake Bible Methodist Church, where she was involved in the music department, playing the piano, organ and accordion. Her love of caring for children also led her to serve in the children's nursery at the church. Faith was a devoted mother, grandmother and follower of Jesus who loved her family deeply.Faith will forever be missed and is survived by her children, Donald (Kimberly) May of Six Lakes, Troy (Rachel) May of Newaygo, Melody May of Six Lakes, Gregory May of Six Lakes; 5 grandchildren, Sekora May, Cecily (Rory) Smith, Jesica (David) Brandon, Alexander May, Josh (Jen) May; 2 great-grandchildren, Carolina Brandon, and Brodie May.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard in 2019; grandson, Jason May; parents, Donald and Juanita; brother, Dale Fouse.A celebration of Faith's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Rock Lake Bible Methodist Church in Vestaburg with Reverend Blake Jones officiating.
