Frances Davis' Obituary
Edmore- Frances Davis, age 84, of Alma, passed away at her daughter's home on Saturday, May 14, 2022, with family by her side. She was born in Elwell on May 2, 1938, the daughter of Antonio and Josephine (Cedillo) Salazar. Frances was raised in Elwell and attended Alma Public Schools, graduating in 1956. She married Gordon Gene Davis on September 17, 1960. Frances was employed as a nursing assistant for over 30 years before retiring from Masonic Pathways. She was well known for her baking, especially apple pies and snicker doodle cookies. Frances enjoyed mushrooming, dancing and going to music jamborees. She loved to sing and attend the Seville Church of God. Frances always took time out of every day to spend with her family.
Frances is survived by her three daughters, Lori (Bill) Teegardin of Vestaburg, Sherry (Paul) Keeler of Jenison, Cindy (Richard) Hill of Alma; son, Lonnie Davis of Riverdale; 11 grandchildren; 23 great- grandchildren; brothers, Paul Salazar of Jackson, John Salazar of Elwell, Robert (Karen) Salazar of Kentwood; and many nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Davis; grandson, Shaun Lee Hillard; parents, Antonio and Josephine; sisters, Patricia Phelps, Mary Craig, Elizabeth Garcia, Lois Jefferies, Phyllis Gross, Roberta Proctor; brothers, Toby, Eugene, Hugo, and Larry Salazar.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore. The family will greet friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Richland Cemetery.
