Frances Elaine Edwards' Obituary
Lakeview-Frances Elaine Edwards, age 96, of Stanton peacefully passed away at Corewell Health Greenville Hospital on Sunday, June 2, 2024. She was born in Gowen on September 16, 1927, to Lyle and Almeda (Albertson) Brigham. Frances was raised in the Stanton area, graduating from high school in 1945. She married Duane Edwards on May 3, 1947, in Sheridan. Frances was a busy homemaker and mother of three who enjoyed cooking, baking and taking bus trips to various casinos with her friends in later years. She loved spending time with family and friends, often hosting holiday gatherings. Frances will be remembered as a kind, generous woman who had a twinkle in her eyes, a quick smile and a huge sweet tooth.Frances is survived by her children, Jay (Annette) Edwards of Sheridan, Ned Edwards of Stanton, Nancy (James) Sage of Stanton; grandchildren, Cassie (Drake) Stalter, Jennifer (Doug) Welsheimer, Jared (Darcy) Edwards, Rebecca (Travis) Morin, Lexie Edwards, Ian (Brittany) Edwards; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane in 2005; her parents, Lyle and Almeda; brother, Donald R. Brigham in 1974; and beloved sister, Dorothy "Dottie" Volkers in May of 2024.Funeral services for Frances will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Stephen Brigham officiating. Interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery in Stanton. The family will greet friends for a time of visitation on Friday, June 7 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral chapel.
