Freddie Lee VanHorn's Obituary
Freddie Lee VanHorn, born on November 2, 1964, passed away on December 19, 2025, at his home.
Freddie is survived by his beloved son, Conner VanHorn (20), his brothers, Bryan VanHorn, Craig VanHorn, and Mike VanHorn, and by Conner’s mother, Emme, who was a friend above all else for 25 years. He is further survived by his niece, Kelly VanHorn and family, and his nephew, Bryan VanHorn.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Stearns (LaBaron), his father, Freddy VanHorn Sr., and by many friends and acquaintances who, throughout the years, became part of Fred’s extended family.
Though Freddie experienced many hardships throughout his life, he chose to let his humor define his happiest moments. Fred’s jokes were not always funny, but when you heard him tell them, his own laughter was infectious—and before you knew it, you were laughing too. Children were naturally drawn to Fred, and his kid-like spirit and playful nature made him especially entertaining to them.
Becoming a father later in life both scared and transformed Fred, but he cherished every single moment with Conner. His love for his son was deep, unwavering, and evident in everything he did.
Fred will be remembered for his humor, his resilience, and most of all, his love for his family.
