Frederick Jesse Loomis Jr.'s Obituary
Baldwin - Frederick Jesse Loomis Jr., 69, of Baldwin, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021, at his residence.
He was born September 11, 1951, in Hammond, Indiana, the son of Frederick Sr. and Roberta (Sheely) Loomis and graduated from Griffith High School in 1970. Fred worked at the Inland steel mill for many years. He loved civil war re-enactments , fishing, camping, wildlife, and feeding birds.
In 2016 Fred married Ruth Troupe who survives. He is also survived by his daughter Anastasia "Stacey" (Raul) Santana; eight siblings, Michael (Kathy) Loomis, Rosella (Dale) Ray, Roberta (Robert) Mckinney, Adeline Gragido, Thomas (Belinda) Loomis, Barbara (Steve) Gonzales, Nancy (Michael) Ranger, and John (Toni) Loomis; stepchildren, Kim (Dean) Brummet, Richard (Regina) Nordke, Crystal Taylor, Floyd Butler, Melissa Lattimore, Bradley Butler, and Christopher (Skylar) Butler; several grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Frederick III earlier this year.
