Frederick Moore's Obituary
Morley- Fred L. Moore, 61, of Morley, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at Spectrum Health Hospital-Butterworth Campus. He was born October 16, 1951 in Mancelona, the son of Benjamin and Eula (Fredrick) Moore. Fred married Reta Parker on June 7, 1969 at the Stanwood Free Methodist Church. Together they made their home and raised their family in the Morley-Stanwood area. He attended the Morley First Baptist Church. Fred was employed by Wolverine World Wide, where he worked for 18 years, and he was a farmer. He enjoyed the outdoors, his fruit trees and strawberries. Fred loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Reta Moore of Morley; five sons, Paul (Leanna) Moore of Morley, Jeff (Tabitha) Moore of Morley, Tim (Jammie) Moore of Lakeview, David Moore of Custer,S.D. and James (Becki) Moore of Morley; 23 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Moore of Lakeview, Duanne(Jan) Moore of Stanwood, Dale (Pam) Moore of Edmore, Joyce (Ned) Coulson of Lakeview, Shirley Moore of Stanwood, Mary (Bob) Parker of Stanwood; and many nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Phil Moore and brother, Carl Moore. Funeral services for Fred will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at the Stanwood Free Methodist Church with Pastor Ron White officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids. His family will greet friends at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Fred's family.
