Gary Maurice McFarlin's Obituary
Lakeview-Gary Maurice McFarlin, age 68, of Sidney passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 22, 2021. He was born to Clyde and Catherine (Marshall) McFarlin on September 27, 1952, in Flint where he was raised and attended Beecher Community Schools. Gary was a jack of all trades and a certified small engine mechanic. He was known as "GuRu" in the local cannabis community and for helping many people throughout his lifetime. Gary will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Gary is survived by his sister, Karen McFarlin of Sidney; nephews, DeVincent McFarlin, David McWhorter; niece, Catherine Grace; cousin, Aaron McFarlin; half-brothers, Robert, and Jim Stephens; half-sister, Joanie Schwartz; several aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Catherine.
A celebration of Gary's life will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview.
