Mr. Bongard was a force of nature and always full of life and laughter. I have many fond memories of playing sports at St. Peter's Lutheran School and he would be there with encourgement and instruction. Such a devoted man to country, family, friends and mostly God. So many fond memories of Gene watching him and my Dad (Marv Kelley) playing softball over the years. He was truly a great guy who I always enjoyed running into around town over the years. We get up to the Two Hearted a couple times a year and will certainly think of him whenever we visit. He will certainly be missed. Thoughts and prayers to Diane, kids and family.
