Gene Leslie Muse's Obituary
Paris - Gene L. Muse, 80, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at his residence. He was born July 1, 1936, in Big Rapids, the son of Leslie and Minnie Muse, and graduated from Big Rapids High School. Gene owned and operated Muse Well Drilling Service for many years. He was known for being very kind and always willing to lend a hand to those in need. In 1972, he married Leilla "Jean" Johnson, who preceded him in death in 2000. Gene is survived by his nephew Edwin Muse of Paris; his brother- and sister-in-law, Larry and Norma Johnson of Evart; and several great-nieces and -nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Gerald and Glen Muse. Per Gene's request, cremation has taken place. Family graveside services and interment of his cremains will be at the Davenport Cemetery near Paris. A Memorial gathering will be announced in the Pioneer for a date later in the Spring.
