Genevie "Genie" Fern Cook's Obituary
? Big Rapids January 5, 2011. She was born on April 16, 1920 in Colfax Township, the daughter of Louis and Elna (Anderson) Pedersen. She and her husband, Lynn Cook both graduated from Big Rapids High School and married November 7, 1941. Genie is survived by one son, Gary (Deb) Cook of Greenville, one daughter, Kay Lynn Cook of New York, NY, four grandchildren, Lori (Steve) Cook, Kim (Troy) Salinas, Jessica Cook, Sara Cook, one great granddaughter, Christa Cook plus several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lynn, plus two sisters, Dorothy Jensen and Mae Moore. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Dean Prentiss officiating. Interment will be at Pine Plains Cemetery. Genies family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Saturday prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Big Rapids or The Alzheimers Foundation. ?
