George Bernard Martin Jr. of Vestaburg, MI, age 70, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 10, 2016 at MidMichigan Medical Center, Alma, MI. George was born September 21, 1945 in Wyandotte, MI the son of George and Gertrude (Lucas) Martin. George proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was united in marriage to the former Barbara Carnahan on September 28, 1968 in Continental, Ohio.
George was a member of the VFW Post 3602, Stanton, MI. He enjoyed fishing, watching old black and white movies and westerns; especially watching cartoons with the grandchildren. George had a huge heart. He would do anything for his family and friends. George touched a lot of people's lives; He will be dearly missed.
George is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Barb, his children; George, Jason, Josh, George III, David (Melissa), Margaret, Debra and Samantha, numerous grandchildren; brother; Carl Baldwin and a sister; Betty Snook. Besides his parents, George was preceded in death by a son, Robert.
Celebration of Life Service will take place Sunday, February 07, 2016 at 2:00 PM from Pine River Church of God, Vestaburg, MI. Those wishing to do a memorial contribution are asked to consider the wishes of the Martin family.
