George Arthur Jedrey's Obituary
George Arthur Jedrey Jr., “Mr. Wonderful”, of Canadian Lakes, Michigan, passed away April 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, devotion, and love for his family.
George was born on November 13, 1946, in Miami, FL, to George and Mildred Jedrey. He spent much of his life working as an electrical estimator and electrician, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and attention to detail.
George was a reserved man by nature, but those who knew him best understood the depth of his love, especially for his wife, Betty, whom he cherished deeply. The two were married on October 11, 1968 and together they built a life centered around family, companionship, and the simple joys of everyday living. In 2018, George and Betty retired to Canadian Lakes, embracing a quieter, more peaceful chapter where they enjoyed many lovely neighbors in the Canadian Lakes community.
An avid reader, George found comfort in books and quiet moments. He was also known for his skills in the kitchen and took pride in preparing meals for his family. It was common to find him out running errands, gathering what he needed to make dinner each evening, one of the many ways he showed his love.
Above all, George was a family man. He adored his only granddaughter, Lisa, and was truly her number one fan. His love for his family was steady, constant, and deeply felt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mildred Jedrey; wife, Betty Jedrey; son, Thomas Pinard, and his brother, Wayne.
George is survived by his daughter, Beth (Michael) Dombrowski; his beloved granddaughter, Lisa Mary (Christian) Ibarluzea; and many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
