Gladys Annie Lockwood's Obituary
Lakeview-Gladys Annie Lockwood, age 95, of Morley, Michigan passed away on December 15, 2020 at Spectrum Kelsey Rehab and Nursing Center. Gladys was born on June 8, 1925 in Millbrook Township to Elroy and Mabel (Bushby) Culp. Gladys married Eldon Lockwood on December 18, 1942 in Ohio. Gladys, or Gert, as most knew her, enjoyed people and cooking. She owned and operated Gert's Drive-In in Lakeview in the 1960's and went on to cook in the kitchen for Lakeview Community Schools. She loved to play cards with her friends, snowmobile in Hoxeyville, and winter in Florida. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon; son, Gary; and infant daughter, Connie; her parents; brothers and sisters in law, John (Margaret) Culp, Hubert (Grace) Culp, Earl Culp, Basil Culp; sisters and brothers in law, Marie (George) Cummings and Ellen (Richard) Lough; Eldon's siblings, Orville (Barbara) Lockwood, Darrell (Mary) Lockwood, and Aletha (Kenneth) Sutherland. Gladys is survived by her son, Gail (Kristine) Lockwood of Morley; grandchildren, Shad (Rebecca) Lockwood, Dianna (Adam) Bedford, Todd Lockwood and Trisha (Eric) Kaffenberger; great grandchildren, Lauren Bedford (fiance' SkyeHayes), Ally Bedford, Aaron Bedford, Jackson Lockwood, Ethan Kaffenberger, Taylor Kaffenberger, Jake Lockwood and Leah Lockwood.
The family will have private graveside services and burial in the spring.
