Gordon "Gordy" Lee Stevens' Obituary
Lakeview-Gordon "Gordy" Lee Stevens, age 88, of Lakeview passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the Laurels of Mt. Pleasant. He was born to Hal and Vivian (Crame) Stevens on July 19, 1936, in Lakeview where he was also raised. After high school graduation Gordy married Charlotte "Char" Skinner on July 26, 1954, and they spent 68 years together before her passing in 2022. He was employed by General Electric and Hitachi Magnetics in Edmore for over 40 years. After retirement he kept himself busy working as a handyman and a builder. Gordy was known for being a hard worker and a regular at McKenna's "big coffee table" for many years. He enjoyed 4-wheeler rides, hunting, fishing, his hunting dogs, and cutting wood to heat his workshop where he hand crafted walking sticks. Gordy was friend to all and loved by many. He was always ready to help anyone when needed.Gordy is survived by his daughter, Holly (Dan) Delling of Lakeview; grandsons, Jordan (Erica) Delling, Dane Delling; 2 great-grandchildren, Jackson and Charlotte; special sister-in-law, Georgianna; special brother-in-law, George; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte; son, Randy; parents, Hal and Vivian; and 5 siblings, Keith, Richard, Sheryl, Sharon and Terry.A private graveside service will take place at a later date.Condolences can be made by utilizing the guestbook at www.brighamfuneralchapel.com
