Gordon Charles Sieffert's Obituary
Gordon Charles Sieffert, age 69, of Remus, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013, at his home surrounded by family. A funeral Service will take place Monday, September 2nd, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Remus at 11:00am. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 1st, at Hansen Janowicz Funeral Home in Remus from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and will continue at church on Monday from 10:00am to the time of service at 11:00am.
Gordon was born March 16, 1944, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Bernice (Lawson) Sieffert. Educated locally, Gordon graduated from Remus High School. He was employed by Elpaso Gas Company for 33 years as a welder before retiring.
Loyal, funny, and a family man, were all words used to describe Gordon. Even when he was sick, he never lost his sense of humor; which is a trait all of his children inherited from him. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and loved to play cards.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Ila; children, Charles (Valerie) Sieffert, Paula Sieffert (Joe), Shelly Parker, and Cindy (Mike) Masterson; brothers, Ronald, Don (Judy), and David (Bonnie); and grandchildren, Mike, Scott (Ciara), Eric (Kelly), Kendon, Anna, Megan, and Lydia.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents.
Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Cancer society; envelopes will be available at the funeral home and at church.
