Gordon Lyle Wise's Obituary
Gordon Lyle Wise, age 83, of Edmore, passed away peacefully with family by his side Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Gordon was born December 8, 1934 in Flint, MI, the son of Clarence and Viola (Boismier) Wise. He was raised in the Flint area, attended and baptized in the First Flint Seventh-Day Adventist church, attended the Flint Adventist School and the Cedar Lake Seventh-day Adventist Academy. Gordon married his beautiful wife Leslie Cheni Bishop on May 29, 1954 in Flint. Gordon was employed by GE and later Hitachi Magnetics for 25 years. Gordon loved piloting small aircrafts, camping, leather crafting, making fly fishing ties, snowmobiling, all things golf related and spending time with family and friends.
Gordon will be greatly missed by his lovely wife Cheni, children; Teresa (Calvin) Hunt of Edmore, Barbara Crosby of Edmore, Peggy (Nolan) Campbell of Edmore, Michael (Julie) Wise of Osseo, Lisa (Matthew) Tufts of Fruitport, one sister; Judith (Robert) Guth of Davison, one brother; Richard (Valerie) Wise of Grayling, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Viola.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
