Gregory "Greg" Lee Skaggs' Obituary
Gregory "Greg" Lee Skaggs, age 70, of Sheridan passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, surrounded by his family. Greg was born in Pontiac on October 29, 1954, the son of Marion "Jesse" and Betty (Howe) Skaggs. He was raised in the Stanton area where he attended Central Montcalm Schools. Greg was employed by Brigham Funeral Chapel as a director's assistant for over 20 years before retiring in 2021. He was a member of the Sonshine Worship Center in Lakeview. Greg met Kim Geister which started an adventure of more than 40 years of love and laughter. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed grilling, preparing large family meals, and traveling. Greg had a great sense of humor and loved picking on everyone, especially his grandkids. He will be remembered as a loving family man with a huge heart and infectious smile.Greg is survived by his wife, Kim Geister of Sheridan; son, Mark (Tina) Geister of Sheridan; daughter, Tonia (David Hawkins) Geister of Stanwood; 8 grandchildren, Jordan, Justice, Mark III, Hunter, Mersadies, Tori, Tinslee, Marion; 5 great-grandchildren, Evan, Michael, Mateo, Ella, Jayce; 2 brothers, Stephen (Sheila) Brigham of Vestaburg, Lyle "Bud" (Tammy) Brigham of Belding; special niece; Colleen Skaggs of Vestaburg; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins.He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Skaggs; mother, Betty Brigham; stepfather, Donald "Buck" Brigham; and 3 brothers, Marvin, Calvin and Kenneth Skaggs.Funeral services for Greg will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Stephen Brigham officiating. The family will greet friends from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 30 at the funeral chapel. Greg will be laid to rest at Foresthill Cemetery in Stanton.Those wishing to donate in Greg's memory are asked to consider the needs of the family.
