Gregory Edward Wood's Obituary
Lakeview-Gregory "Greg" Edward Wood, age 63, of Lakeview passed away at his home on Sunday, September 12, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born in Ionia on November 18, 1957, the son of Glenn and Dottie (Palmer) Wood. Greg was raised in and around Ionia County before the family moved to Lakeview where he attended Lakeview High School. He has been employed as a truck driver by Double M Trucking for the past 4 years and for Gummer's Peat for over 20 years prior to that. Greg was a good and hardworking man that loved life, driving truck and especially his family and spending time with them. His grandchildren meant the whole world to him. He enjoyed wrenching on vehicles and deer hunting.
Greg will forever be missed and is survived by his children, Sara (David) Holbrook of Howard City, Kayla Hubbard of Lakeview, Glenn (Michaela) Wood of Lakeview; grandchildren, Valeree, Blake, Addilynn, Emma, Alyvia, Emmet, Jessa, Luke, Beau, baby boy Hubbard; siblings, Sharon Rama of Lakeview, Rod (Cindy) Wood of Lakeview; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Dottie; and his sister, Glenda Russell.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Gale Nesbitt officiating. Interment will follow at Wamboldt Cemetery in Remus. The family will greet friends at the funeral chapel on Wednesday, September 15 from 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Thursday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
