Guadalupe Muniz Buentello's Obituary
Lakeview-Guadalupe Muniz Buentello, age 93, of Six Lakes passed away at his home on Sunday, June 6, 2021. He was born on September 16, 1927, in Mission, TX, the son of Martin and Benita (Muniz) Buentello. Guadalupe was raised in Alice, TX where he attended Palito Blanco Public Schools. He went on to serve honorably in the United States Army during WWII. Guadalupe married the love of his life, Maria Azucena on May 25, 1952, in Alice TX and they spent 63 years together before her passing. He was employed by Bolthouse Farms in Grant for over 25 years. He was a member of the VFW posts in both Six Lakes and Sheridan. Guadalupe enjoyed deer hunting, going to the casino, playing bingo, had a special fondness for animals, and especially loved his family and gardening.
Guadalupe is survived by his children, Rene Buentello and David Ortega of Grand Rapids, Roel (Lupe) Buentello of Grant, Raul (Emma) Buentello of Johnson City, TX, Rosabel (Manuel) Hernandez of Flint, Ruben Buentello of Six Lakes; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; good family friend, Abi; his siblings, Maria Gonzales, Jovita Ramirez, Tina Vasquez, and Juan Buentello all of Alice, Tx.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria; his parents, Martin and Benita; brother, Romulo; and sister, Anita Guerro.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Father James VanderLaan officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
