Harold Crysler's Obituary
Reed City - Harold Crysler, 91, of Reed City, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 10, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 1, 1926, in Baldwin, the son of Dewey and Ellen Crysler. In 1949, Harold married Jean Morden, and they raised seven children, living in the Reed City area. He worked for Miller Industries for several years, later Reed City Glass, and more recently at Ferris State College from where he retired.
Harold was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed gardening and yardwork, woodworking, square dancing, and playing cards, but most of all spending time with family.
Harold's wife Jean preceded him in death in 2009. He will be dearly missed by their children Sheila (Ernie) Guillemette, Debra (David) Baumunk, Penny (Bill) VanRingelsteyn, Deana (Pete) Norriss, Ross Crysler, Todd (Lori) Crysler, Blake (Julie) Crysler; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; his brother Hall; and several nieces and nephews. Harold was also preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Hazel, Harriet, and Halo, and his brother Harlan.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and private family services will take place, His cremains will be placed next to Jean's in the Pleasant Plains Cemetery in Baldwin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, 400 Perry St., Big Rapids, MI 49307.
