Helen Frances Coil's Obituary
Helen Frances Coil, 86, of Mecosta, MI, died peacefully on Monday, October 24,2016. Helen was born April 17, 1930 in Edge Hill, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph Edgar and Nettie Pearl (Renchausen) Hughes.
Helen is survived by her sons, Lee (Linda) Hodges, Terry (Pat) Hodges, Steven (Gail) Carpenter, Robert (Margaret) Carpenter, Leslie Carpenter (Sheryle), and Scott (Rejeania) Carpenter; Daughters Sharon Lenon and Karon Bauman (Jim); many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Coil; mother and father, Joseph and Nettie Hughes, and brothers, John, Joseph, Warren and Gerald Hughes.
She was a long time employee of the State of Michigan, last serving with the Department of Social Services in Mount Pleasant until her retirement.
Helen was a loving mother who enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles, crocheting, and fishing with her husband. Old game shows were a favorite of Helen’s, and she especially enjoyed family gatherings and her extended family.
Helen’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Prestige Centre in Mount Pleasant for the wonderful care they provided to her.
Funeral services for Helen will be at 1 P.M. On Saturday November 12, 2016, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus, Michigan. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services on Saturday. Mrs. Coil will be interred next to her husband at Wambolt cemetery in Remus.
For those desiring to make memorial contributions, the family requests that they be made directly to Great Lakes Caring Hospice or a charity of your choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
