Helen Lenon ( Bressin, Roop)
Age 99, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at her daughter and son-in-law’s home. Helen was born on September 29, 1913, the daughter of Cary and Flora Roop of Remus, MI. She married Floyd Lenon in 1932. Together they had eight children; Gene, June (Virgel) Varner, Marie (Philip) Starks, Margie (Gordon) McArther, Jeannine (Jerry) Byard, Sandra (Ed) Kelly, Elaine (Elwyn) MacDonald, and Art (Pam) Lenon. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years and her two children; Gene and Jeannine. She had 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 12 great great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service in Helen’s honor will take place on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Crittenden-Hansen Funeral Home in Remus. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and again from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. There will be a luncheon immediately following the funeral service at New Hope United Methodist Church in Mecosta. The family invites friends to join them after the luncheon for the burial, which will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mecosta.
