Helen Irene Nobach's Obituary
Helen Irene Nobach, age 83, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025. Born on November 1, 1941, in Edmore, Michigan, she was the beloved daughter of Hazel and Fred Gustavison. Raised alongside her two siblings, Dale and Majel.
In her journey, Helen married William Nobach, and together they welcomed six wonderful children: Joe, Jeffery, John, Jermey, Jennifer, and Julie. The family grew and thrived in Edmore, where Helen became known as a devoted mother, cherished friend, and gentle spirit. While her kindness and gentleness were her trademarks, those who knew her also appreciated her honesty and willingness to speak her mind.
Helen dedicated her life to providing love, care, and support to everyone around her. She was particularly known for her cooking and baking skills, which brought joy to many family gatherings. After raising her children, she continued her nurturing spirit by working in nursing homes and providing private care to those in need.
Upon her retirement, Helen enjoyed her golden years in Mount Pleasant with her son Joe. She found happiness in reading, solving sudokus, and entertaining herself at the Soaring Eagle Casino. One of her greatest passions was football season, which she eagerly shared with Joe, especially her support for the Detroit Lions. Helen was a true die-hard Lions fan, always hopeful for their chance to reach the Super Bowl.
Helen is survived by her children: Joe Nobach of Mount Pleasant, MI; Jeffery (Stephanie) Nobach of Edmore, MI; John Nobach of Lakeview, MI; Jermey (Jennifer) Nobach of McBride, MI; Julie Nobach of Vestaburg, MI; and Jennifer Nobach of Grand Rapids, MI. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Samantha Nobach, Chana Brewer, Brittany (Alan) Ward, Doug Nobach, Erika (Darin) Snyder, Danielle (Tylor) Williams, Shiree (David) Withey, Jacob (Kristi) Nobach, Shaley Harrison, and Jeffery and William Nobach. Her great-grandchildren: Trayton Ward, Peighton Ward, Rylie Ward, Dawson Wheeler, Ryan Wheeler, Eden Snyder, Lincoln Snyder, Braden Kogler, Ameila Williams, and Evolette Williams.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Helen Irene Nobach will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her gentle spirit, support, and love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. A Celebration of Helen's life will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 12-4PM at the McBride Village Hall.
