Ilah J. Tule's Obituary
TULE, ILAH J. (THEBO-MASON) Mother is always with youshe's in the whisper of leaves on a crisp fall morning. She's the smell of bleach in your laundry; the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well; she's in your every laugh; every tear. She's the place you came from...your first home. Now, Mom's gone home. Ilah's journey home began March 13, 1930. She completed the trip April 1, 2012, at age 82. She was a long time employee of Grand Rapids Metalcraft, where she made a host of life-long friendships. To celebrate her life and cherish their memories of her, Ilah leaves daughters, Gloria Herney; Cindy (Dennis) Devereux; Kathy Hunter and Barbara (Jeff) Aley; son, Gregory (Kathy) Mason; sister, Wanda Gardiner; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a treasury of family and friends old and new. Ilah is preceded in death by husbands, Gaylord W. Tule and Thurlow V. Mason; mother and father, Claudia (Jackson) and Ernest Thebo; brothers and sisters, DeVere; Lyle; Milton; Lois Deacon; Dorothy Lowden; Donna Ross; Arthur; Lee; Clare; and Edward; daughter Patsy DeWitt; son, Steven Mason; son-in-law, Arthur Herney; grand-daughter, Sonja; and grandson, Brent. Cremation has already taken place. In celebration of a beautiful life, a memorial service is planned for 2:00 PM Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Deerfield Bible Church, 759 150th Avenue, Morley, Michigan, Pastor Frank Taylor officiating.
