Inez LaVerna Nolan's Obituary
Inez LaVerna (Capen) Nolan, a lifelong resident of Mecosta County, passed away on November 30, 2023. She was born on September 19, 1943 to Fred and Vera (Cox) Capen. Inez married Wayne Nolan in 1968. Through that marriage she welcomes two stepsons, Andrew and Wayne Jr.; and a daughter JaDeana in 1969. She worked primarily as a childcare provider throughout her life. Inez loved everything about home life. She enjoyed gardening and her pets, cooking and canning were also frequent activities. She had a true talent for baking. Inez followed these quiet pursuits in her home in Mecosta, and valued being a part of a neighborhood.
She is survived by brother, Marvin; brother-in-law, Bill Arszulowicz; sister-in-law, Carolyn Latham; Numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Wayne; stepsons, Andrew, and Wayne Jr.; daughter, JaDeana; brothers, John, Emmett, Carl, and Clayton; sisters, Mary Delong, Gertrude Wilson, Bernice Arszulowicz, Jean Rodgers; and sister-in-law Bonnie Capen, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will take place on December 4, 2023 at 11 AM at Janowicz Family Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Piatt officiating. Visitation will take place an hour prior to the service. Inez will take to rest on the family plot at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mecosta, MI.
