Irene R. Bidwell's Obituary
Paris - Irene R Bidwell, 84, of Paris, loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and sister, passed away peacefully Thursday April 20, 2023, at her home.
She was born September 24, 1938, in Zell, Germany, the daughter of Martin and Hedwig (Huppent) Becker. On May 26, 1966, Irene married Jerry Bidwell while he was stationed in Germany, and a few weeks later they moved to the U.S. Upon Jerry's retirement in 1978 they moved to New Baltimore, and in 1993 they moved to Paris where they made their home .
Irene is survived by her son Juergen (Sylvia) Mueller; grandson Dennis Mueller; sister Wiltrud; sister-in-law Lou (Becky) Bidwell; many nieces and nephews; family friend Evan Traynor; all of her friends from Monday night bingo, the Evart Moose, and all of her close friends from the surrounding communities. Irene was also a special grandmother to Chrislynn. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, her parents, her sister Katharina, and brother-in-law R.G.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. She will be laid to rest in the Park Hill Cemetery in Paris next to Jerry.
