Irvin Casimir Burdeau's Obituary
Irvin C. Burdeau, 98, of Edmore passed away on September 27, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 23, 1920 to the late Earl and Catherine (Shippy) Burdeau.
Irvin married Helen Hudson on September 3, 1949 in Krakow, Wisconsin. Irv was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the VFW Post 9409 in Suamico, Wisconsin. He started his career at Stokley in Green Bay, Wisconsin and later moved his family in 1965 to Michigan, becoming the plant manager at Aunt Jane's Pickles in Edmore. Irv retired from Aunt Jane's in Croswell and moved back to Edmore with his wife, Helen. Irvin was an avid Packer's fan, hunter and enjoyed scratching lottery tickets. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Edmore.
Irvin is survived by his daughters, Cathy and Gary Curtiss of Blanchard and Mary and Larry Sackett of Edmore; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Becky Curtiss, Jamie and Kerri Curtiss, Tracy and Anthony Foster and Michelle and Luke Parr; great grandchildren, Baylee, Brenan, Olivia, Evan, Bradyn, Landon, Garret, Eli and Hudson; and a sister-in-law, Delores Burdeau.
Irv was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen; brothers, Earl (Duke) and Joseph Burdeau; and infant sister, Kate Burdeau.
Friends may call at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass for Irvin will take place on Monday, October 1, 2018 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Edmore at 11:00 AM. All are invited to a luncheon at the Church following interment at Vinewood Cemetery. Contributions in Irvin's memory may be made to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
