Isabell Violet Smith's Obituary
? ? ? ? Big Rapids- Isabell V. Smith- 94-passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010. She was born September 10, 1916 in Appleton, Illinois the daughter of Clark and Lucy Slutz. Isabell moved to Borland Corners, Morley, at the age of five. She graduated from Morley High School. Isabell met and married Glen "Cal" Smith in Morley and they moved to the Smith farm in Norwich Township where they lived their entire lives. She retired from Wolverine Worldwide in 1978 where she worked as an office manager. Isabell is survived by two sons, Harold "Butch" (Jennifer) Smith of Big Rapids, Paul Smith of Las Vegas; two grandsons, Brandon (Ella) Albaugh, Nathan (Dawn) Albaugh, plus seven great grandchildren and special friends and caregivers, Penny Thrush and Sherry "Yoo Hoo" DeGroat. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Cal, one brother, Glenn Slutz and sister-in-law, Amy Slutz. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Foster Brummel officiating. Interment will follow at Aetna Cemetery in Morley. Isabells family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday beginning at 10:00a.m. prior to service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rogers Heights Church of Christ. ?
