Iva Norene (Baublitz) Moreland's Obituary
age 71, of Lakeview (formerly of Remus and Riverdale), passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Rainbow Haven in Trufant, Michigan.
Iva was born May 28, 1943 in Millbrook Township, Michigan, the daughter of Edward Jacob and Maxine June (Aldrich) Baublitz. She was raised in Remus and graduated from Remus High School Class of 1961.
Iva married Curtis Warren Moreland in 1964 in Blanchard, Michigan. Together, they owned and operated Moreland's Apple Orchard in Riverdale for more than 12 years, and Stoney Creek Mercantile in Blanchard for over 6 years. Iva enjoyed reading, knitting, crochet, scrapbooking, family history, and baking. She was a member of The National Genealogy Society.
Iva will be missed by one daughter Debbie (John) Cesar of Lakeview; one daughter-in-law Connie Gibbs (Greg Bragassa) of Edmore; one son-in-law Dan Barkman of Davison, MI; nine grandchildren Courtney and Joshua Gibbs, Cody Moreland (Jessica Garrett), Brandon Moreland, Danielle Moreland, Michael Gibbs, Brandon Cesar, Johnathan Guy, and Alyssa Cesar; two great-grandchildren Emmalyna Moreland and Jaedynn Preston; one sister-in-law Phyllis Baublitz of St. Louis; nephews and friends.
Iva was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Moreland; parents Edward and Maxine Baublitz; son David Moreland; daughter Diane Barkman; and one brother John Baublitz.
A celebration in honor of Iva's life will be held March 29, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Decker Cemetery in Blanchard.
