Jacqueline Rose Roman's Obituary
Jacqueline Rose Roman, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2025. She was born on December 31, 1942, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John and Anna (Marhefka) Korber.
Jacqueline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who placed family at the center of her life. She was deeply devoted to her husband, Larry, and faithfully supported him as they moved to various places throughout his career. Her feisty, stubborn spirit was matched by her unwavering love and loyalty to those she cared for.
A lifelong animal lover, Jacqueline was a generous supporter and donor to the local dog park and animal shelter. She was also an active member of the Ferris Booster Club and a longtime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, where she faithfully supported both the church and its school through her generous giving.
Jacqueline enjoyed cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers and could most often be found attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, proudly supporting them from the sidelines. She treasured time spent with her family and took great pride in the generations she helped raise.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Shelley) Roman Jr., Scott (Liberty) Roman, and Robyn (Ken) Saladin; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Suzanne (Jim) Gindlesperger; and her beloved dog, Sunshine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Roman Sr., her parents, two grandchildren, and three siblings.
Jacqueline will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Highland View Cemetery in Big Rapids in the spring.
