Jacqueline Ava Wandel's Obituary
Lakeview- Jacqueline Ava Wandel, Age 94, of Lakeview passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 4, 2019. She was born in Six Lakes on July 23,1925, the daughter of Stanley and Vera (Leach) Wood. She was raised in the Six Lakes and Lakeview areas. Jacqueline graduated from Six Lakes High School with the class of 1943. On August 30, 1945 Jacqueline married Henry "Bud" Wandel in Lakeview. Jacqueline was employed by Heinz Canning, Schmeitt's Department Store and she worked at the Greenville Wolverine Worldwide and retired from Wolverine Worldwide Big Rapids plant. Jackie and her husband managed the Wolverine campground at Hardy Dam after retirement. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, camping and wintering in Florida. She enjoyed being with her family which always came first.
Jacqueline is survived by her children, Nita Lint, Noreen Shurlow, Kristine Couturier, all of Lakeview; five grandchildren Melissa (Brad) Miller, Bill Lint (Tasha McKelvey), Jason (Ashlee) Jensen, Samantha Jensen (Brian Plank), Christa Couturier ; four step grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 18 step great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; 19 step great great grandchildren; three brothers Barry, Jim (Sandy), Floris (Renee) Wood; one sister Marlene Gilbert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Henry "Bud" Wandel; both of her parents Stanley and Vera Wood; son-in-law's Jim Lint and Don Shurlow; five brothers Clifton (Ilene)Wood, Dennis (Deanna) Wood, Dick (Betty) Wood, Jerry Wood, Larry (Bev) Wood; two sisters Lucinne (Gale) Snyder, Ada Wood; five in laws Omar Gilbert, Adolph "Tad" (Helen) Gorman, Laura (Amos) Jenkins, Bob (Lucielle) Wandel, Marrieta (Walt) Konsinski, Rosy (Joe) Minard.
Funeral services for Jacqueline will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Dave Hansen officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow at the Hinton Township Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
