James Lee Bollinger's Obituary
James Lee Bollinger age 79, passed away at his Vestaburg home Tuesday, September 5, 2017. He was born October 3, 1937 in Vestaburg, MI. James is the son of James Theodore and Netha May (Raughbough) Bollinger. He was raised in Vestaburg and graduated from Vestaburg High School in 1953. James served his country in the Marines and was a radio operator. James married Mary Lynne Clark on November 9, 1974 in Lansing and had a reception in Vestaburg. James was employed as a group leader at Hitachi and was employed there for 38 years and retired in 1995. James enjoyed a lot of things trout fishing, golf, and all sports, and spending time at Canadian Lakes.
James is survived by his wife; Mary, 3 children; James Todd (Margo) Bollinger of Blanchard, Tracy (Dave) Couturier of Farwell, Christa May Bollinger of Clare, grandchildren; Sarah May Bollinger, Casey James Todd Bollinger, Samantha Jean Mulder, Steven Bates, Patrick Bollinger, John Ross Bollinger, Dillion Bollinger, Tyler Couturier, Aaron Couturier, Jessica Jean Gibson, Jordan Paige Prince, great grandchildren; Abagail, Sadie, Wyatt, Braxton, Baylor, one brother; Gaylord Synder of Vestaburg, one sister; Ursla "Sue" Belyou of Vestaburg, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents; James and Netha, son; Randy Lee Bollinger, one brother; Dick Synder, one sister; Loraine Spitler.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Vestaburg, Funeral Service will be the following day, Monday, September 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. with a visitation an hour prior at the Vestaburg Church of Christ in Vestaburg. Pastor Henry Hawvert will be officiating the service. A burial will take place at the Richland Twp. Cemetery following the service.
