James C. Jackson's Obituary
Big Rapids - James C. Jackson, 55, of Big Rapids, passed away June 5, 2015, at his home with his family by his side. Jim was born May 8, 1960 in Three Rivers, the son of James R. and Deloris (Dispennett) Jackson, and moved with his family to the Big Rapids area in the 70's. In 1981, he married Susan Totten, and they have been together for 34 years. Jim was currently employed at Big Rapids Products. He was also a mechanic affectionately known as "Lube Dog" who loved working on cars. Jim also loved hunting, camping, and the special times with his grandchildren. He is survived by Susan; 3 sons, Michael (Betina) Jackson of Big Rapids, Eric (Trisha Corsello) Jackson of Paris, Daniel (Jennifer) Bressler of Las Vegas, NV; 8 grandchildren, Breanna and Lynndsay Jackson, Cara and Trenten Corsello, Xander Lewis, Jonas, Kylee, and Isabella Bressler; his parents, James and Amy Jackson; sisters Linda and Diane; brothers Mark and Doug; and several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by a son Benjamin Bressler Jackson, and his mother Deloris Jackson. Visitation for Jim will be on Tuesday, June 9, from 5-8 p.m. at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Private family burial will be in the Pine Plains Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be made for Hospice of Michigan, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
