James "JC" Ray's Obituary
James "JC" Ray age 89, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Laurels of Carson City, MI. JC was born the son of Emerson and Eliza (Reeder) Ray in Blanchard, MI on April, 15, 1926.
JC served his country proudly in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post 5602, Six Lakes, MI. Prior to his retirement, he was a loyal and respected employee of the GE/Hitachi Magnetics Corporation in Edmore, MI for 37 years.
On September 25, 1948 he was united in marriage to the former Louise Arnett in Edmore, MI. JC is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, and one son, Gregory (Rena) Ray of Crystal, grandchildren, Lariann (Nick) Ludwick and Shane (Stacey) Peterman; along with great-grandchildren, Caden, Nathan, Camryn, and Zackery.
JC is also survived by his brother, Clyde Ray of Charlotte, his sister, Ada Bishop of Hemlock, and several nieces and nephews; all whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 7 brothers and sisters.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Brigham Funeral Chapel, Edmore, MI. with Pastor Mike Riegler to officiate. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the Pine River Cemetery, Blanchard, MI. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the Faith United Methodist Church, Edmore, MI.
