James Patrick Lytle's Obituary
Chippewa Lake-James Patrick Lytle, 83, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Tendercare in Mt. Pleasant. Jim was born on September 7, 1930 in Detroit, the son of Fred and Helen (Novak) Lytle. He graduated from Cass Tech High School in 1948. Jim was a proud Veteran of the Korean War where he actively served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1950-1953. He fought in the battle for Bunker Hill in Korea in 1952. Jim was a traveling salesman throughout Michigan for over 25 years. He retired from his own business, J & B Services in 2009. Jim was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He also loved sports and managed his own softball team in Holt, MI for many years. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church in Big Rapids. Jim is survived by his wife of 32 years, Barbara; his brother, Richard Lytle of Manton, MI; his son Kevin (Sue) Lytle of Laingsburg, MI; his daughter, Patricia (Robert) Rosales of Chippewa Lake; his stepson, Michael McGillivray of Bay City; his stepdaughter, Michelle McGillivray of Chicago; his grandchildren, Catherine Rosales, Brian Lytle of Barryton, Korey Lytle and Sarah Lytle both of Laingsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Jim's life at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Trinity Fellowship Church, 15085 220th Avenue, Big Rapids with Pastor Gary DeBock and Elder Jim King officiating.
