James Edward Peckrul's Obituary
James Edward Peckrul, our loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017, at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital, at the age of 74. Cremation will take place with no service to follow. James was born July 16, 1943, the son of William and Mary (Pennington) Peckrul. He married the love of his life, Maureen Sullivan, on January 28, 1967,and together the two grew their family to include one son, Fred. Being very passionate about his career, James was very involved in the Hotel Manager’s Association while working in the Detroit area. He and Maureen later moved to Canadian Lakes where they spent nearly 26 years together, which he thoroughly enjoyed. But his main joy in life came from spending time with his grandson, Billy. James’s compassionate nature will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years, Maureen; son, Fred (Karen) Peckrul, and grandson, Billy. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert (Lois) Peckrul, and favorite cousin, Dick Kleh. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to God’s Helping Hands in memory of James.
